Against the backdrop of New Delhi’s prestigious Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, a transformative moment unfolded on December 4 – 5, 2025, at the Russia-India Forum. Here, amidst India and Russia’s shared vision for technological partnership, a pivotal panel discussion took shape, drawing together some of the most influential voices in the tech and innovation ecosystem.
The session found its anchor in the capable hands of Ms. Natalia Popova, First Deputy CEO of Innopraktika, who opened the dialogue and skillfully moderated the discourse on "India and Russia: Cooperation in the Field of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies"—a conversation designed to explore the remarkable potential lying at the intersection of the two nations’ complementary strengths. Setting the context for the session, Ms. Natalia articulated a compelling narrative of convergence and opportunity. She highlighted that India brings to the table its proven mastery in digital public infrastructure, scalable software systems, and applied AI solutions, while Russia wields formidable expertise in scientific research, secure communication technologies, and advanced computing. She emphasized that together, these capabilities paint a portrait of possibility: a foundation for collaborative innovation that could forge genuinely sovereign digital solutions addressing the challenges of tomorrow.
Contributing significantly to this high-level exchange, Mr. Debjit Chakraborty, CEO and Executive Director of the Indo-Russia Technology Hub, took his place as a distinguished panelist. He was joined by an impressive roster of industry and government leaders, including Ms. Nivruti Rai, Managing Director & CEO of Invest India, Mr. Pavel Stepanov, CEO of Geoscan, and other key stakeholders from both nations.
The panelists, in turn, charted a course forward, articulating a vision rooted in identifying mutually relevant areas for technological cooperation. The dialogue cut through abstractions, exploring concrete pathways to map shared priorities, leverage complementary strengths, and establish tangible avenues for joint technological exploration.
As the session drew to a close, the panelists crystallized their discussions into a prioritized set of high-impact collaboration pathways and a comprehensive framework designed to guide sustained bilateral engagement across government, industry, and academic sectors.
For the Indo-Russia Technology Hub, this moment underscored a fundamental truth: the institution stands at the heart of bilateral technological advancement, a catalyst for deepening the partnership between India and Russia in the digital economy.
